Annual Conference 2019 Programme
Programme arrangements are in hand. As well as the resolutions the conference will be looking at various aspects of the justice system.
Speakers include Dr Kate O’Brien, Director of the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Durham University, who pioneered the “Inside-Out”programme which brings together university students and prison inmates on academic courses taught within prisons.
Coralyn Burge, an NCW member, will discuss her work as a project manager for the SOS+ team at the St Giles Trust which in response to the recent upsurge in knife crimes aims to raise awareness of the dangers of weapons and to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to stay safe.
