National Council of Women Structure

Giving Women a Voice

NCWGB is open to all women, and is made up of regional councils, local branches and individual members.

Our Management Committee is responsible for the direction of the organisation, and we have a board of 12 directors, who meet at least six times a year.

Representatives from across the UK attend meetings that discuss all aspects of life. We also hold an annual conference, where branches, regions and affiliated societies can put forward resolutions (which, if accepted, become part of our policy and are presented to the Government and other relevant bodies).

“NCW gives me the opportunity to air my views on current issues. It is where friendships are made – and kept. Through NCW I can help others in a variety of ways. It helps to open the mind to what is going on in the whole world. It gives opportunity to travel and meet other likeminded people. It gives the opportunity for one’s views, backed up by facts, to be passed on to those who can effect change.”
– Joan Jenkins
