Submitted by: NCW Media Committee

The National Council of Women of Great Britain, concerned about the dearth of high-quality British TV programmes for children aged 5- 13+, urges Her Majesty’s Government:

(a) to provide funding and resources for British TV programmes for children aged 5-13+ in order to enable them to make high-quality British TV programmes for children of this age;

(b) to take appropriate action to ensure the setting up and support of organisations to promote and produce British Children’s TV;

(c) to provide funding to re-invigorate the Children’s Film and Television Foundation.
