The National Council of Women in Conference assembled (a) aware that children need good nutrition if they are to achieve their full potential and that Education Authorities recognise this by providing free school meals for children whose families are on Income Support or Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, (b) urges HM Government to top up benefit payments during school holidays to help families provide adequate meals.
