The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, aware of the need for public safety, but also concerned for the welfare of laboratory animals, urges Her Majesty’s Government to speed up the development of practical alternative methods to the use of live animals in the toxicity testing of drugs, cosmetics and other environmental chemicals.
