The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, concerned at the increase in our nation of alcoholism with all its physical, social and economic dangers, urges Her Majesty’s Government to initiate legislation which would:

1. set in motion a programme of education to make the nation increasingly conscious of the dangers inherent in the use of alcohol; b. control the amount of time given to advertising alcohol on television.
2. control the amount of time given to advertising alcohol on television.
