The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, considering Clean Air to be a basic necessity and being gravely concerned with the serious effects of Air Pollution on the health of the Nation, urges HM Government to take the necessary measures to ensure that all motor vehicles are fitted with an approved exhaust emission control device, or that modifications be made to carburetor and ignition to ensure more efficient fuel burning thus effectively reducing the amount of dangerous exhaust products being pumped into the air every hour of every day.   Held in abeyance as from the Annual General Meeting in 1988
