National Council of Women’s Autumn conference on Saturday unanimously passed a resolution calling for international aid to support women and girls and their representative organisations to be sustained. It especially urged better funding for education to stamp out the scourge of female genital mutilation and cutting.
NCWGB delegates to the UN Commission on the status of Women in New York in March next year will hammer home these points in their contributions to the debates. The resolution builds on last year’s international resolution.
Many thanks to our Associate organisation Orchid Project for keeping up the focus on this desperate need.
