At a meeting with the Equalities Minister Baroness Jacquie Smith, Ann Davison (President of the National Council of Women GB) pressed for the government to prioritise increasing protection from online harms. The meeting prepared for the upcoming UN Commission on the Status of Women in March.
Ann recommended seeking like minded countries which would work together to address the challenges of the online environment.
NCWGB member Hana Mosavie said that the CSW needed clear follow up actions. And member the Hon Jocelynne Scutt called for UN Women to remain an independent agency with its generalised mission to act for women and girls across the world.

NCWGB is sending a delegation of 6 to the UN CSW. It will be an opportunity to assert democratic and humanitarian values and battle to retain women’s hard won rights to global equality.
