National Council of Women GB is delighted that our representative Dr Natalie Turney will be speaking at the U.K. led event on Violence Against Women and Girls in New York on 13th March. This high profile event will be part of the UN Commission on the Status of Women meeting which takes place each year to assess the global situation of women and girls.
Dr Natalie Turney lectures on Company law. She is Vice Chair of the UKCSWA which is co-convening the event and chaired the working group on CSW’s agreed conclusions.
Dr Turney will draw attention to the fast moving issues women and girls are experiencing with online harms and the need for safety from the design stage. She will also highlight the importance of education and legal literacy for equality in a separate prestigious event.
NCWGB will be delighted to hear Natalie’s report back at their management committee on 19th March.
