National Council of Women GB’s President Ann Davison was delighted to meet with the Rt Hon Baroness Smith of Malvern, Minister for Women and Equalities on Tuesday and discuss provisions for controlling violent online pornography.
Ann (who is also a member of the UK Civil Society Women’s Alliance) welcomed the current attention being given to the really worrying experiences children have online and impact on their health, welfare and safety. Added to that, Ann stressed the harm being done to over 16s. Young women can’t have equality while abuse seen online is carried into their private lives. It’s a major public health issue she said.
