At a meeting with the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office yesterday on reform of the UN, NCWGB President Ann Davison expressed support for retaining an independent UN Women organisation.
Of course slimming down and reform can happen but there are huge issues globally for women and girls which need to be championed at UN level, she said.
National Council of Women was represented by Angel Brown, Harriet Allen and Ann.
Susan McKellar from NCW’s Associate The Scottish Women’s Convention made the point that if the UN uses AI it should bear in mind the inherent male bias.
