NCW was well represented at the Civil Society Event on Gender Equality held on Tuesday and hosted by the government Office for Equality and Opportunity.

The debate focused on the gender pay gap and violence against women and girls. We raised specific issues of the needs of deaf women in employment based on our ongoing work with deaf women.

Jilly Rogers highlighted the work of our younger members relating to non fatal strangulation and emphasised the need for education and support.

Ann Davison drew attention to the impact of online harms on adults and the importance of effective regulation.
