At our management meeting last Thursday, National Council of Women prepared for our AGM and Autumn event on 11th October to which all are very welcome. We agreed 3 excellent speakers on Afghan refugees, violence and disability, and trafficking of women.
We discussed follow up to our adult care resolution including how to make it easier for people to stay in their own homes. Issues were the lack of intermediate provision after discharge from hospital, the red tape that faces carers, and the need for more occupational health therapists who play a key role. There was also a shortage of care staff since Brexit and Covid.
If you’re interested in attending please contact Sheila Rosewell on info@ncw.org for a Booking Form.
