The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, deeply concerned about the seriousness of the problem of osteoporosis and consequent fractures and the rapid increase in this bone disease in recent years, urges Her Majesty’s Government to encourage better education of family doctors in relation to Hormone Replacement Therapy and to fund an education programme for the general public in relation to nutrition and exercise and its effect on osteoporosis.
