The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, welcoming the support given by the United Kingdom and the European Union to the Declaration and Platform for Action agreed at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women held in Beijing, calls upon Her Majesty’s Government to: (a) draw up detailed plans, in consultation with women’s organisations, for the implementation of its commitment to the Platform for Action; and (b) take urgent steps to incorporate the National Agenda for Action ““ In Pursuit of Equality, as set out by the Women’s National Commission following consultation with its member organisations.
