The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, asks the Secretary of State for Education and Science to bring to the notice of all Local Authorities the need for ensuring that schools have an adequate supply of books and to urge them to aim each year at the book expenditure level recommended by the Association of Education Committees and the National Book League.
