The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, concerned about recent ecological disasters, calls upon HM Government (a) to fulfill its obligations to sustainable development undertaken at Rio in 1992 and, in particular, (b) to ensure that the transport of potentially damaging substances is controlled in such a manner as to avoid pollution to land, sea and air, and subsequent damage to the food chain.
