The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, concerned that the increased availability of Credit Facilities has resulted in large numbers of borrowers incurring burdens of debt, calls on Her Majesty’s Government to urge the providers of credit: (a) to recognise their responsibilities to ensure that borrowers fully understand what they are entering into; and (b) to finance money advice centres and debt counselling services.
