The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, aware of the shortcomings in the planning and design of houses, urges the Secretary of state for the Environment to form Women’s Advisory Councils on Housing (WACH) consisting of laywomen from different walks of life, especially to advise on the practical and functional aspects of domestic design before plans are passed.  Reaffirmed 1980
