Earnings rule for wives of disabled men, 1968

The National Council of Women of Great Britain in Conference assembled, urges Her Majesty’s Government to modify the earnings rule whereby, if the wife of a disabled man, trying to help the family out of the poverty attendance on long-term sickness or disability earns more than £2 16s.0d a week, her husband’s sickness or disablement benefit is reduced by £2 16s.0d.
