The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, regrets the omission from the White Paper Education: A Framework for Expansion of legislative provision for part-time release for further education of young people up to at least the age of 18, which Conference believes to be a pre-requisite for wider education and job opportunities for girls. Conference therefore calls upon Her Majesty’s Government to take positive action in this field and furthermore to expand the range of education, training and employment opportunities at all levels for women and girls.
