In view of recent problems within the food industry, NCW in Conference assembled calls upon HM Government to set up an independent and authoritative body whose function would be: (a) to monitor research leading to new developments in the food industry; (b) to advise on rectifying problems arising from earlier practices which have later proved to be unsound: (c) to promote transparency in the industry so that the consumer’s voice can be given equal status with that of the producer.
