Food safety & consumer information in the single European market, 1991

The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, recognising that a high level of consumer protection is an essential element of the Single European market, calls upon Her Majesty’s Government to take initiatives in the European Community to ensure that appropriate legislation on food hygiene and safety standards, improved labeling and public access to information on food issues is in place by 1st January 1993
