The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, being aware of the experiments in Genetic Engineering now being conducted throughout the world, urges Her Majesty’s Government to expedite consultations with other governments in order to secure that guidelines should be laid down by the World Health Organization or some other appropriate agency of the United Nations with a view to minimizing the hazards and maximizing the benefits of these experiments.
