Industrial hazards, 1977

Submitted by: The Committee of Management

The National Council of Women in Conference assembled in welcoming the first Report of the Advisory Committee on Major Hazards, urges HM Government to bring into force, as soon as possible, regulations requiring occupiers of notifiable installations to provide details of their activities. Information should be available to the general public. It is also urged that the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act of 1974, be amended to impose greater penalties for infractions and to ensure that HM Inspectorate of Factories is maintained at full strength with access to additional technological experts.  Held in abeyance as from the Annual General Meeting in 1988
