Joint tenancies, 1978

The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, requests HM Government to issue a directive to all Local Housing Authorities and Housing Associations that provision is made in their tenancy agreements for joint tenancies to be offered automatically: a. allowing, in the case of a broken marriage, for the spouse caring for the children to continue tenancy; and also b. to be applicable to a near relative who has cared for a resident at the same address for the previous three years.
