The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, urges the Local Authorities, when considering plans for new schemes or construction, should bear in mind the needs of the wheelchair disabled, with a view to ensuring as far as possible:–  a. their access to, and mobility within public buildings; and

b. their easier road transit, by means of ramps between kerbs and roads, at junctions and crossings.
