National commission on alcohol affairs, 1978

Submitted by: Working Party on Alcohol Problems

The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, asks that Her Majesty’s Government should consider the establishment of a National Commission on Alcohol Affairs to collate and present continuously all available information in the field of alcohol abuse, which information is at the present time so fragmented that the grave results shown by investigation into the medical, social, economic and judicial aspects of this abuse are not fully appreciated.

Reaffirmed 1981 and 1982
