No fault divorce: the children involved, 1989

Submitted by: Sevenoaks Branch

The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, concerned that Law Commission proposals for “no fault” divorce fails to address the effects on the children whose parents separate, urges the Lord Chancellor not to introduce new legislation unless there is adequate provision of trained Conciliators to help couples co-operate over arrangements for the continuation of their joint parental responsibility.
