The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, urges the Secretary of State for Health and Social Security to ensure that under the regulations governing the Social Security Pensions Act 1975, provision is made for a divorced person to use his or her former spouse’s National Insurance contribution up to the date of divorce, towards an earning related retirement pension.
