The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, recalling the Plowden Report, urges the Secretary of State for Education and Science to spend more money on non-profit making Pre-School Playgroups, maintained Nursery Schools and especially on Primary Education, which is the foundation to any further education. To further this, teaching conditions should be made more attractive, with smaller classes and with help by Assistants in Reception classes.
