The National Council of Women of Great Britain in Conference assembled, concerned about the possible introduction of rabies, having welcomed the Rabies (Importation of Dogs, Cats and other Mammals) Order 1974, now urges HM Government to increase the penalties already available and to include the humane destruction without option of smuggled mammals and defined in the said Order except where such animal is of an endangered species.
