The National Council of Women, aware that there are four mechanisms to United Nations ‘ Conventions allowing individual access to the Committees supervising the UN Conventions, noting that these have been under review for some time and have yet to be ratified by the UK Government, and bearing in mind the significance of these mechanisms in relation to UN Security Council Resolution 1325, wishes to emphasise the importance of these mechanisms and their ratification by the United Kingdom and to urge the Government to ratify these without further delay.
