The National Council of Women in Conference assembled welcomes the recent initiatives of the Minister of State for Education and Science in relation to sex education literature available in schools and urges the Department to direct the Health Education Council to monitor its resource lists so as to ensure that such material not only draws attention to the physical and emotional hazards of immature sexual relationships but emphasizes the values/importance of marriage and family life.
