The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, deplores the activities of the Central Electricity Generating Board and of Mineral Exploration Companies in their proposals to build reservoirs and to undertake open-cast mining in the Snowdonia National Park, with their consequent permanent and irreparable loss of visual and recreational amenities, and calls upon all Government Departments and other bodies concerned to resist in every way possible this further destruction of an irreplaceable part of our national heritage.
