Social care provision; the need for the Cavendish review to be mandated, 2015

Submitted by: NCW Health Committee

In the light of current and expected additional cuts to Adult Social Care, NCW urges Her Majesty’s Government to make the recommendations in the Cavendish Review law, thus requiring robust recruitment, training, skills acquisition and an ongoing assessment strategy of those engaged in providing Adult Social Care. Commissioners and providers must be directed and, therefore, be more accountable for standards and organisation of daily care provision.
