The National Council of Women in Conference assembled, welcomes the Warnock Committee’s Recommendations for the continuing education of physically and mentally handicapped young people. The Council urges the Secretary of State for Education and Science to arrange for a substantial expansion in the provision of further educational opportunities for the over 16’s with special need for: (a) schools and sixth form colleges; (b) Further and Higher Education; (c) Adult Training and Day Centres and Hospitals.
