The position of women in the law, 1969

The National Council of Women of Great Britain in Conference assembled, urges Her Majesty’s Government to declare its acceptance of the principle of the complete equality of women with men before the law; to take urgent measures to secure that in all relevant legislation currently in draft, or projected, the principle shall be implemented; and to pursue a policy of amendment of past laws which contravene the principle.
