The training of teachers for a multi-cultural society, 1982

The National Council of Women in view of the interim findings of the Rampton/Swann Committees of Enquiry into the education of children from ethnic minority groups, asks the Secretary of State for Education and Science to urge all bodies providing teacher education: (a) to increase provision of courses in multi-cultural education in the initial and in-service training of teachers; (b) to monitor the content of such courses in the light of current research.
